Frank Tansey is the former Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services at Sonoma State University. During his time at the university he was responsible for all aspects of admission, student recruitment, registration and student records. During various periods he was also responsible for Financial Aid including a period when he was the interim director of Financial Aid, and the Educational Opportunity Program.

After leaving Sonoma State, he directed an intersegmental project involving the University of California, the California State University System, the California Community College System, the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities and the State Department of Education that created CaliforniaColleges.edu. The site provides comprehemsive pre-admission and financing information for student interested in college and universities in California.

Frank is a member of number of professional organizations including the Higher Education Consultants Association and the Western Association of College Admission Counselors. He regularly visits campuses to keep up-to-date with the ever evolving college admission scene across the country. He continues to keep in contact with colleagues, both old and new, to supplement his knowledge.

In addition to his professional qualifications, Frank holds a Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of Southern California and is a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor.
